Seeking an experienced Behavior Specialist to support elementary school students in Hopkins, MN on a contract basis for the current school year. This role focuses on implementing behavioral interventions and strategies that promote a positive learning environment tailored to the needs of individual students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional behavior assessments and develop individualized behavior intervention plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed.
- Provide direct support to students to improve social skills, self-regulation, and classroom engagement.
- Train and guide school personnel on behavior management techniques and best practices.
- Maintain detailed documentation and reports on student behavior and interventions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Behavior Specialist in an elementary school setting.
- Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis and positive behavioral interventions.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and communicate effectively with students, parents, and educators.
- Relevant certification or licensure in behavior analysis or special education.
